To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have sweet glazed chicken tenders using 8 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Sweet Glazed Chicken Tenders:
  1. Take 6 chicken tenderloins (aka strips) - raw
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup ketchup (I used organic)
  3. Prepare 1/4 cup honey
  4. Get 1 tbs packed brown sugar
  5. Get 1 tsp yellow mustard
  6. Get 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  7. Take 1-2 dashes worcestershire sauce
  8. Get Garlic and onion powders to taste (I used about 1/2 tsp each)

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil to pan; swirl to coat. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add half of the chicken strips and half of the sauce.

Steps to make Sweet Glazed Chicken Tenders:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and grease lightly (I was out of cooking spray today so used Crisco which worked out fine).
  2. Place ketchup and honey in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave 1 minute (this heats the honey helping it combine easier).
  3. Place all other ingredients except chicken tenders in bowl. Stir to combine until no brown sugar lumps remain.
  4. Add chicken to bowl. Gently turn and stir to coat chicken in sauce (I used my hand to ensure I was gently with the pieces).
  5. Arrange chicken on baking sheet, not touching. Place in oven. Bake until chicken is cooked through, about 15-20 minutes depending on size of tenders.
  6. If desired, turn on broiler for last couple minutes to really caramelize the tops. I didn't bother with this step since my son was eating them. Serve with desired sides and enjoy!

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add half of the chicken strips and half of the sauce. Repeat with remainder of sauce and chicken strips. Chicken tenders are coated in a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and cornmeal to ensure every nook and cranny of the chicken is coated. Upon baking, the panko crisps up creating that crunchy exterior we all desire from chicken fingers.
