Some of the ingredients have been changed from the original recipe, and this version is cooked in a crockpot. Great British Cholent (vegan) A hearty and satisfying vegan/vegetarian cholent full of British flavours! Drop the raw matzo balls on top of everything, it is in place of kishke. Turn on high for atleast an hour before Shabbat and then bring to low.

- In 4 cup measuring cup add Ketchup, BBQ Sauce, Soy Sauce, Garlic and spices. Top with water to 4 cup mark. Add to slow cooker covering contents.
- Empty Vegetable soup mix in measuring cup. Add water to 3/4 mark. Add to slow cooker.
- Add Figs on top.
- Turn Slow Cooker on LOW at 2PM FRIDAY.
- Enjoy at 1PM SATURDAY.
